The ‘ dumbing down ‘ of news has been a problem inside media studies for a while. For a few years tabloid newspapers have remained one of the best promoting available in the market, but issues have been raised over the spill of tabloid fashion journalism into ‘quality’ newspapers (i.e. broadsheets) and broadcast news in the UK. This project goals to determine and discuss dumbing down as an idea and the implications it could have on news as a media product.
