Seven Home Staging Mistakes to Avoid

Proper staging at this point gets the home sold. So, here is what NOT to do.

Looking to sell your home this fall or winter? Here are some tips on how to prepare your home to hit the market.

According to the National Association of Realtors, in 2021, 95% of buyers used the internet to assist in the home-finding process. In this digital age, getting someone to stop browsing and click on your home photos and video is the first big step in the home-selling process. The photo/video is also what gets the consumer interested enough to eventually schedule a showing. A home that is poorly prepared or staged will not only lack appeal during digital and in-person views, but in the end will net significantly less money than a properly staged home.

Now that the buyer has clicked on your home, the next step is to have the buyer

Food Allergies, Sensitivity Can Cause a Leaky Gut

True food sensitivities can build up over time and may or may not present with one pressing symptom, but a cascade of them.

Digestive issues such as gas, bloating, constipation, diarrhea or loose stools; skin rashes that won’t go away or come and go; mood issues like anxiety, fatigue, depression, mind fog; or weight gain and hormone imbalances, may all be stemming from the foods that we are eating on a regular basis. Food sensitivities often won’t cause anaphylactic shock or an ER situation, but those types of reactions are true allergic reactions that may require ER treatment, Benadryl or the use of an EpiPen to reduce the effects on the inflammatory response. True food sensitivities can build up over time and may or may not present with one pressing symptom, but a cascade of them.

IRS admits it exposed confidential information of 120,000 taxpayers online

The Internal Revenue Service accidentally published confidential information involving about 120,000 taxpayers on its website before discovering the mistake and removing the data, officials said Friday.

The data shared came from Form 990-Ta business tax return document used by tax-exempt entities, including individual retirement accounts, to report and pay income tax on income generated from certain investments or income unrelated to their exempt purpose, the IRS said.

The “inadvertent” exposure included names, contact information and financial information about income within those IRAs. However, it did not include Social Security numbers, full individual income information, detailed financial account data or other sensitive information that could affect a taxpayer’s credit.

In some instances, the data did not include individual names or business contact information.

Bed Bath & Beyond’s CFO Gustavo Arnal identified as man who jumped to his death

The NYPD said in a statement Sunday that Arnal, 52, was found unconscious and unresponsive outside his luxury 57-story skyscraper in the neighborhood of Tribeca around 12:30 pm Friday. Police said the man “appeared to suffer from injuries indicative from a fall from an elevated position.” EMS responded and pronounced the man dead, police said.

The law enforcement source told CNN Sunday that Arnal’s wife witnessed him jump. The source said while no suicide note was found, no criminality is suspected.

The NYPD said the New York City Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the cause of death and the investigation remains ongoing. CNN has reached out to the medical examiner’s office but did not receive an immediate response.

Bed Bath & Beyond is “profoundly saddened by this shocking loss”, a spokesperson for the company said in response to the death of Arnal.

In a statement Sunday, the Independent Chair of

Amazon upgraded warehouse AC system after saying worker’s death wasn’t heat-related

Amazon upgraded the air conditioning system at a New Jersey warehouse where it blamed a worker’s death during a heat wave last month on a “personal medical condition,” according to three facility employees and photographs seen by NBC News.

One photo shows a large new ducting system installed on a ground floor of the warehouse in Carteret, known as EWR9, with the ducts pointing upward.

Workers said the equipment was part of a new industrial air conditioner that the company added weeks after the death of Rafael Reynaldo Mota Frias, a 42-year-old Dominican national, in mid-July. It wasn’t clear if the system was up and running yet.

Trump’s social media app facing financial fallout

Former President Donald Trump’s social media outfit, Truth Social, is locked in a bitter battle with one of its vendors claiming that the platform is stiffing the company out of more than $1 million in contractually obligated payments, FOX Business has learned.

If the allegations are true, they would suggest that Truth Social’s finances are in significant disarray, people with direct knowledge of the matter say. Internet infrastructure company RightForge is said to be among Truth Social’s largest vendors and creditors, these people say.

In October, RightForge announced it entered into an agreement to host Truth Social, which Trump helped create after he was banned by Twitter following the Jan. 6 riots. RightForge now contends that Truth Social has reneged on its contractually

Donald Trump’s business faces twin probes set for big next steps

While Donald Trump has been focused in recent weeks on the fallout over the FBI search of his Mar-a-Lago home in Florida, two investigations into his business affairs back in New York could require his attention again soon.

Yahoo Finance spoke with a range of experts about what penalties could be ahead for Trump’s bottom line if his company finds itself criminally convicted or the subject of civil action, or both, in ongoing cases where the odds seem to be stacked against the former president.

“I’m anticipating very, very serious penalties,” says Norm Eisen, a former special counsel during the first impeachment and trial of Trump.

The overlapping investigations — and Trump’s exposure in other legal areas — could build on each other, says Eisen, who’s been tracking developments closely.

On one front, a criminal probe from the Manhattan District Attorney recently secured guilty pleas on 15 criminal tax
